America CryoPRESENTSZalena Lab

Zalena Lab is our internal R&D operation — four wellness clinics we built, funded, and ran ourselves to prove a single-room cryotherapy business model works. Every offer, script, and dollar was tested in real cities with real customers, so you can launch with a proven playbook instead of guessing.

This page breaks down exactly how each location was built, what they earned, and why the model keeps replicating — so you can see the proof before you commit.

DIVE IN
1 The Origin

How it all started — and why cryotherapy was always going to be the answer.

Proven Revenue. Repeatable Model.

The wellness industry is full of beautiful spaces that struggle to turn a profit. Owners pour everything into buildout and branding, only to find themselves stuck — working every shift, chasing new clients, and hoping the numbers add up at the end of the month.

Zalena Wellness was built to solve that problem with data, not promises. We opened four clinics in four different markets to pressure-test a lean, cryotherapy-first model designed around one goal: predictable, scalable revenue from day one.

Every location followed the same playbook — same equipment, same pricing, same offers, same operational structure. The results weren't aspirational. They were measurable: cashflow-positive within 30 days, six-figure annual revenue per location, and a system that doesn't require the owner in the treatment room.

This page is the proof. Real numbers, real locations, real timelines — so you can evaluate the model on facts, not faith.

That realization became the foundation for Zalena Wellness.

We didn't want to create just another wellness brand. We wanted to build a modern wellness experience designed around sustainability, freedom, and real transformation for both clients and the people delivering the care.

So in 2025, we stopped talking about what the future of wellness should look like and started building it ourselves.

Zalena Wellness was created to redefine what a wellness business could become.

THE TRAP — TECHNICIAN MODEL

You're the business

  • You're booked in your own treatment room.
  • Revenue stops the day you take a vacation.
  • Your ceiling is your physical schedule.
  • Hard to scale. Harder to sell.
  • The room makes money only when you're in it.
vs.

THE WAY OUT — OWNER MODEL

The business runs without you.

  • Short, repeatable treatments (3.5 min cryo).
  • Estheticians handle the room. You handle the model.
  • Memberships create predictable monthly revenue.
  • Single-room footprint = low overhead.
  • One location proves it. Four locations validate it.

The Core Insight

Most med spas don't fail because the technology doesn't work. They fail because the owner ends up working the technology. Zalena Lab exists to test, refine, and prove the opposite — a cryotherapy-first model where the system does the labor, not the founder.

20k budget to launch

Rent SubZero, ancillary devices, furnishings — everything to open the doors. No hidden costs.

Profitable in 30 days

Not vanity-busy. Cashflow-positive within the first 30 days of opening.

Scalable, repeatable

Lean, single-room suites. Short treatments. Recurring memberships. Owner-light.

2 The Start

2025 — Zalena West Palm Beach is under production.

The America Cryo team flew to Miami with one goal: put Zalena West Palm Beach in place exactly the way our customers would.

No corporate budget. No Instagram-friendly 3,000 sq ft buildout. A single-room suite — about 10 × 11 feet — in a normal commercial space, with the same equipment, same paperwork, and same constraints any first-time owner faces.

The team had no prior experience running a spa. That was the point. If a team of cryo technologists could open it cold and turn it cashflow-positive in 30 days, the model could be handed off to anyone.

We treated it like an experiment, not a flagship. Hypothesis: a profitable wellness clinic can be built in a closet, with $20K, in a month. Method: do it. Document everything.

Early growth came from the unglamorous stuff: old-school flyering, packages over single sessions, and aggressive upselling into memberships. The model was working. But was it luck? Was it the South Florida zip code?

There was only one way to find out…

4 A Second Location

But one location isn't enough to have real data for our customers…

Maybe it was luck. Maybe it was the Florida tourist economy. Maybe it was a charismatic ops manager. After West Palm Beach hit numbers, we did the only honest thing: we opened a second clinic in a completely different market, Lexington, Kentucky using the exact same framework, the exact same offers, and the exact same operational playbook.

The goal wasn't to test a new idea. The goal was to prove the first one wasn't an accident.

Results Clients Could Actually See

Strong retention only happens when clients feel results. Body-sculpting transformations — 4–6 inches lost in 6 weeks, pain relief felt within 60–90 seconds of a treatment — turned customers into a referral engine.

5 A Fourth Location

By the fourth clinic, we weren't testing luck anymore. We were validating a repeatable model across completely different markets.

Same strategy. Same outcome.

Same playbook. Fourth state. Different demographic. The numbers held.

Apex, North Carolina. Different climate, different income profile, different competitive landscape. We deliberately picked a market that looked nothing like South Florida and ran the exact same offers, the exact same pricing, the exact same script.

The interesting thing wasn't that it worked. The interesting thing was how identical the numbers came out. By location #4, the case study was complete: the model wasn't a location story. It was a system story.

But single sessions weren't what drove the numbers.

The hidden weapon — the part most spa owners never get to — was the package + membership stack. High-ticket bundles, short treatment times, recurring revenue. This is where the $70K / 5-month math comes from.

7 Why Cryotherapy-First

The model rests on four mechanics. Pull any one of them out and it stops working.

1
Short treatments
3.5-minute cryo cycles. ~38-min total client flow. Most of that is consult + upsell — not labor.
2
Low labor intensity
An esthetician runs the room. The owner runs the business. Your time is not the product.
3
High-ticket packages
$1,500 / $1,500 / $3,000 / $5,000 / $6,000. The package, not the single session, is the unit of revenue.
4
Recurring memberships
Predictable monthly revenue. 43–46% returning clients across all four locations.

THE UNFAIR SECRET

Cryotherapy is the rare wellness modality where the technology genuinely outperforms the operator. A 3.5-minute treatment doesn't need a $200/hr provider. It needs a great room, a consistent protocol, and a script. That asymmetry is what makes the model ownable instead of workable.

8 The Team

A system this lean still needs the right human at the center of it.

Scott P., Operations Manager

Scott P.

Operations Manager, Zalena Wellness

Scott runs the day-in-day-out machinery across all four Zalena clinics. He's the human translator between the model on paper and the model in the room. If the system holds up on a Tuesday morning in Green Bay, it's because Scott built the muscle for it. Curious how he handles staffing, retention, schedule fill, and the quiet daily decisions that compound into a 6-figure clinic? You can actually book him.

Early Zalena growth came from simple, low-cost marketing — flyering, package selling, upsells, memberships. Not paid ads. Not influencers.

The model isn't a hack. It's repetition of the right unglamorous things.
